 Research Summary

Ching-Wa Yip is a Research Scientist in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests are galaxy formation and evolution, statistical data classification, and clustering. Currently she is working on stellar population synthesis of galaxies in two dimensions, with the goal of evaluating models of galaxy formation. She is also studying parameter spaces occupied by the physical components of galaxies and AGNs.

In her work, she uses data sets from sky surveys and services from the National Virtual Observatory.
