Post-doctoral position in the Plasma Spectroscopy/Diagnostics Group

The Plasma Spectroscopy/Diagnostics Group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at JHU has an opening for a post-doctoral position in the domain of plasma physics/diagnostics. The work - which combines experimental research with modeling -  involves laboratory experiments related to magnetically/inertial confined plasmas but also smaller devices/sources which simulate fusion plasma edge and divertor conditions. The candidates should have a good background in atomic structure computations and CR and radiative transport modeling and should have experience in XUV spectroscopy. Letters of intent, containing a CV and a brief list of relevant publications should be sent to Prof. Michael Finkenthal at mike@pha.jhu.edu
