Post-Doctoral Position In Experimental Condensed Matter Physics

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position in experimental condensed matter physics at Johns Hopkins University in the research group of Professor Nina Markovic.  The candidate will perform research in the area of electron transport and quantum phase transitions in low-dimensional systems.  The applicant should have a PhD in Physics or Materials Science and have demonstrated expertise in the use of cryogenic equipment and modern microfabrication techniques.  Preference will be given to candidates who have extensive experience with operating a dilution refrigerator and those who have demonstrated innovative fabrication techniques to push the resolution limits.  We seek candidates with a strong research record and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Applications should include a CV, a list of publications and contact information for three references, and should be sent to nina@pha.jhu.edu.  Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled.
