One Year Research Position with the Advanced Camera for Surveys Science Team

Applications are invited for a position with the Hubble Space Telescope's (HST) Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) project at Johns Hopkins University. The successful applicant will work with the JHU and UCSC ACS science team and the ACS group at the Space Telescope Science Institute on recommissioning and calibrating ACS after the fourth servicing mission to HST.

Qualified applicants will have extensive experience working with ACS observations and with calibrating optical images. Experience with astronomical software and other programming languages is essential. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in astronomy or closely related field. The appointement is for one year with a nominal start date of July 1 or August 1. Applicants should send curriculum vitae, description of research interests and experience and letters from three references to the address below by May 30.
