The international conference Highly Frustrated Magnetism 2010 will be held in Baltimore, MD, USA, from August 1 to August 6, 2010, on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University.
Conference booklet in PDF (file size: 12 MB).
July 31, 2010. Daily program in PDF.
August 6, 2010. Video links added on the program page. You will need to install a Silverlight plug-in on your computer (Windows and Mac only, won't work on Linux). Some of the authors have asked us to postpone the publication of their talks until a later date.
HFM 2010 will cover all aspects of magnetism and electronic correlations in systems with competing interactions such as
- Quantum frustrated magnetism and spin liquids.
- Magnetic order in geometrically frustrated magnets.
- Itinerant frustrated systems and novel superconductivity.
- Spin glasses and random magnets.
- Coupling between lattice, orbital and charge degrees of freedom.
- Exotic phenomena induced by macroscopic degeneracy.
- Artificial and molecular frustrated magnets.
The organizers of HFM 2010 acknowledge generous support of the following organizations: - The US National Science Foundation
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology
- Oakridge National Laboratory
- The Government of Japan
- The Johns Hopkins University
