Sangmo (Tony) Sohn
Associate Research Scientist
Sangmo Tony Sohn is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Johns Hopkins University. He earned his PhD in astronomy from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the Johns Hopkins University in 2014, he held research positions at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Yonsei University (Korea), Caltech, and the Space Telescope Science Institute. Sohn’s research focuses on understanding the dynamics of galaxies in the Local Group through measuring proper motions of M31, dwarf galaxies, stellar streams, globular clusters, and halo stars with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).
